If you get sick while working in Norway, you may be entitled to a sickness benefits. Sickness benefits (sykepenger) are paid if you have worked in Norway for at least 4 weeks before the illness.
If you were employed or had a valid „oppdrag” (non-permanent job) in a Norwegian company at the time of the opening of the bulletin, then the size of the bulletin’s benefits is 100% of your salary. An application for sickness benefits must be submitted to NAV within 3 months of the onset of illness.
